The Greater Capital Region is lucky to have a growing creative business sector, a community of creative people, and many fantastic venues and organizations that are working hard to sustain a level of quality entertainment, preserve the rich history of our area, and provide opportunities for local artists.
Creative industries account for nearly 24,000 jobs in the Capital Region making the creative economy one of the most important in our area. The Capital Region has the second highest concentration of creative jobs amongst metropolitan regions of similar size. (From the Regional Alliance for the Creative Economy research study. Visit www.upstatecreative.org for more information on the study.)
